Pisang Seribu Banana

We harvested one of our Pisang Seribu banana or the thousand fingers. 🍌🍌🍌

My son Boris loves bananas. This is only one variety of the 9 varieties of banana that I grew here.

False Roselle (Hibiscus acetosella)

This is one of my perennial, the Cranberry Hibiscus also known as False Roselle (Hibiscus acetosella). Young leaves are edible, raw or cooked. Flowers are for tea. Lots of seeds coming for future planting. 😍🌱🌳

Panabon (Ardisia brevipetiolata)

The firstime was a failure due to super dry fruits/seeds. Last August, I got a chance to germinate again a handful of Panabon (Ardisia brevipetiolata) fruits and here it is. It took 3 months to germinate in the common pot. 😍🌱🌳

Badak from Palawan

Outplanted this Badak (Artocarpus integer). This is grown from seed of the ripe fruit from Brooke's Point, Palawan. 

The fruit is smaller in size compare to other Cempedak i have tried, but the taste is the same. 💕🌱🌳

Baluno (Mangifera caesia)

Grown from seeds of the ripe fruits last September. This is Baluno (Mangifera caesia) or White Mango. Already an Endangered species, we need to plant more of this. 😍🌱🌳

Aromatic fruit with white flesh. Sweet, fibrous and juicy.

Literally it is called a White Mango.

Marula (Sclerocarya birrea)

Late germinants of Marula (Sclerocarya birrea). The seeds I planted in the common pot last May without pre-treatment took a long time to crack. This fruit tree is indigenous to Southern Africa with huge socioeconomic importance. 😍🌱🌳

Bunog (Garcinia celebica)

Bunog (Garcinia celebica) germinated from the seeds of ripe fruits last month October. 😍🌱🌳

These are the ripe fruits of Bunog from Palawan. Extracted the seeds and successfully germinated them in the common pot.

Magic Berry (Synsepalum dulcificum)

Fruiting Magic Berry (Synsepalum dulcificum) from my 6 year old specimen. This is native to tropical Africa known for its berry that, when eaten, causes sour foods (such as lemons and limes) subsequently consumed to taste sweet. 😋🌱🌳

The size of the berries are small, the seed inside is the same size as a coffee beans.

Dok Chom Chan (Ipomoea alba)

The third cycle for this year of Dok Chom Chan (Ipomoea alba) also known as moon flower. These are edible can be used in curry and soups.

I will let these flowers to matured and dried again for additional planting soon.

Bago-Santol wild edible fruit

These are the "Bagaaw" or "Bago-Santol" that was germinated from seeds last October. This is a wild edible fruit gathered from the forest of Misamis. 😍🌱🌳

This is the common pot where the seeds are germinated. 

Fruits of Bagaaw or Bago-santol are edible. Still needs a proper ID for this species.

Malakamias (Ailanthus triphysa)

My lone Malakamias (Ailanthus triphysa) under the shaded area. The tree produces resin which can be used for incense. 😍🌱🌳
