Grafted Dalandan (Citrus x aurantium)  outplanted on this wet day. This citrus  reminds me of my childhood where we used to harvest a lot from the old trees of my grandparents. This is a good source of Vitamin C. The dried flowers also used as a flavoring agent. ❤️🌱🌳

Palm/Kaong (Arenga pinnata)

One of my Sugar Palm/Kaong (Arenga pinnata) started flowering now after 10 years. It will start to flower from above and then going down, after that it will die. I will try to harvest the sap this time, it can yield 15-20 liters of fresh sap everyday. 🌴❤️🌴

Flowering time for this lone specimen of Taba (Tristaniopsis littoralis).  💕🌱🌳

One of the rarest PH native tree species whose conservation status is already "Endangered". Outplanted this wayback July of 2021.

Turning 3 years old on the ground next month July 2024.

Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides)

If there's anything that smells better than this Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides), I haven't found it yet. These flowers are edible can be eaten raw, pickled, or preserved in honey. 😍🌱🌳

In China, the petals are used in tea for their aroma, while a yellow-red dye used in textiles and sweets has been extracted from the pulp of the fruit.

It's been 20 months on the ground but still thriving. This is Araza (Eugenia stipitata). I'm glad it survived the previous dry spell. 😍🌱🌳

Cranberry Hibiscus or False Roselle (Hibiscus acetosella). Edible leaves can be eaten raw or cooked. Flowers makes a good tea. 💕🌱

Seedless Tambis

I didn't notice that he picked it and call out to me "Apple!", i said we don't have Apple but seeing it was the Tambis (Syzygium aqueum) ok it's still an apple — Rose Apple. He took a bite and said Yuuummm... 😋

Alugbati project

Got some seeds of Malabar Spinach (Basella alba) or locally known as Alugbati for planting. The demand for Alugbati tops is high which sells as high as 150pesos a kilo. Last year we only planted around 2,500 pieces, planning to double it this time. ❤️🌱🌱

Parasol (Firmiana simplex)

Fast and easy germination of Parasol (Firmiana simplex). This is native to Asia and commonly grown as ornamental. 

This species is aggressive, self-fertile with its seeds can spread quickly and the offsprings can effectively compete with other species. This is only for my personal observation and have no intention on planting this for reforestation.
