Buri Palm (Corypha elata), limited seedlings for disposal. It's a huge palm that can grow up to 60ft tall. The starch contained inside the trunk is edible raw or cooked locally we called it "Landang", as is the tip-top. The flowering stalks can be beaten to produce liquid "tuba". The nut kernels are also edible. This palm along with Anahaw is a must have on any Agro-forestry farm. 😍🌱❤️
A flowering/fruiting Buri signals the end of its life. A natures instinct to reproduce.
A various handicrafts can be made from its leaves and midribs like this mat made of Buri Palm leaves.
Decorative handicrafts made from its midribs.
Limited seedlings are available for disposal at BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.
