Will try to germinate the seeds of this ripe fruit of Piris (Garcinia vidalii).
The fruit has a yellow sap that is very sticky and it taste sour but very juicy.
Garcinia vidalii is an evergreen tree growing up to 25 metres tall. The edible fruit is gathered from the wild for local use. The plant is occasionally grown for its fruit and has also been used experimentally as a root stock for the mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana).
If successfully germinated, this Garcinia species will be an additional native collection at BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.
