Batuan (Garcinia binucao)







Outplanted this grafted Batuan/Binukaw (Garcinia binucao) just right before the 2nd quarter of 2024 ends. This is native to the Philippines, usually grows wild and the fruits are harvested and is used mainly as a souring agent to some local dishes. The dried fruits used as treatment for dysentery. Fresh fruits used to help lower hypertension. 💕🌱🌳



This is a screenshot with some Batuan fruits that I gathered from the mother tree last December of 2023.
