Ackee (Blighia sapida)

My 6 year old Ackee (Blighia sapida) was flowering  but due to heavy and persistent rain, it causes the Ackee flowers to drop by physically beating its delicate blossoms. This is native to tropical West Africa.

Philippine hornet nest

This hornet nest poses a severe stinging hazard to us so we removed it. The Philippine hornet (Vespa luctuosa) builds paper-like carton nests in trees, dense bushes and branches. Known for having one of the most potent venoms among hornets, their colonies house hundreds of individuals inside a protective outer envelope with a single entry point.

Red Sun jackfruit is a prized, rare cultivar originating from Thailand known for its striking deep orange to reddish flesh, thick and crunchy texture, and honey-like sweetness. Pisang Seribu

I have 6 hills of Pisang Seribu (Musa chiliocarpa) or the thousand fingers banana. It is famous for its extraordinarily long fruit bunches that can hold hundreds or even up to 1,000 individual bananas, giving it the name "thousand bananas" (seribu means a thousand in Malay/Indonesian). Despite their miniature size, the fruits are highly edible, aromatic, and delightfully sweet. They taste similar to standard commercial bananas but are much more rich and sugary. 🍌💚🌱
