Time to pick the ripe Kumquat (Citrus japonica). My elevation here is not high enough to turn the fruit color to yellow orange. This is native to Southern China, usually consumed as a whole with its skin full of fiber and antioxidants. It is distinctly citrusy. While the fruit is slightly sweet, the overwhelming flavor is sour and tangy. 😋❤️🌱
