One of the rarest in my exotic fruit collection is Jatoba also known as Stinking Toe (Hymenaea courbaril). Common in Central and South America, its hard fruit pods have edible dry pulp surrounding the seeds. Its sap, called animé, is used for incense, perfume, and varnish. It is a hardwood that is used for furniture, flooring, and decoration. 😍🌱🌳
Germinating the Jatoba seeds 3 years ago.
