Talakatak / Philippine Chestnut

Rebagging a few Talakatak or Katii (Castanopsis sp.) Also known as Philippine Chestnut. The seeds are edible, boiled and can be eaten like any other chestnuts. Base on the appearance of its leaves I think this is Castanopsis motleyana but need further confirmation from plant experts. ❤️🌱🌳



Harvested seeds from mother trees. 



Boiling the seeds for 30 minutes.
