Sugod-sugod fruit is the local Filipino name for Momordica cochinchinensis, widely known internationally as the Gac fruit. This is the fruit of my 5 year old Vine. The immature green fruit is consumed as a vegetable. It is typically peeled, sliced, and added to local dishes like dinengdeng, pinakbet, or ginisa, and its taste is comparable to upo (bottle gourd). The young shoots are also edible. 😍🌱💚
