Hagis (Syzygium tripinatum)

After 5 years in the ground the Hagis (Syzygium tripinnatum) starts to flower. Hagis is a rare, edible fruit-bearing tree endemic to the Philippines. It belongs to the Myrtaceae family, making it a close relative of other local fruits like duhat, makopa and lipote.😍🌱🌳
