The fruits of Katmon (Dillenia philippinensis) is a bit smaller in size as of now due to the dry season. This is endemic in the Philippines from lowland to mid-elevation. ❤️π±π³

Critically endangered Aquilaria crassna is native to SouthEast Asia known as one of the agar-producing species which is highly priced in the market.

Young leaves and fleshy calyces are edible; steamed and eaten as vegetable or used in curries, soups, stews. Seeds eaten when young.
