Ivory Palm (Pinanga coronata)

One of my Ivory Palm (Pinanga coronata) is doing great after 12months on the ground. 😍🌱🌴



Showing its first sucker already.

Parrot's beak/Bulangan (Gmelina philippensis)

Non-stop fruiting of my 20 month old Parrot's beak/Bulangan (Gmelina philippensis). πŸ˜πŸŒ±πŸ’•



This is the lone mother plant of Gmelina philippensis I have.

Prik Chee Fah Chili

My 2nd generation of Prik Chee Fah Chili from Thailand. Prik Chee Fah translates "pointing to the sky". Moderate heat with a SHU of 50,000-100,000. 🌢️πŸ˜‹πŸ”₯



21 days old Prik Chee Fah seedlings grown from seeds. 



It comes in a green and red color, sometimes a combination of both. The best for curry and for garnishing.

Labayanan (Radermachera coriacea)

On the ground is Labayanan (Radermachera coriacea). 



It is a small flowering tree endemic to the Philippines. Conservation status is "Endangered". ❤️🌱🌳

Kalingag / Native Cinnamon

One of my Kalingag or one of the native Cinnamon tree species in the Philippines. 



The bark of Kalingag has traditionally been used as medicine in the Philippines. It is used as a(n) carminative, stimulant, astringent, antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral property. Finally, the decoction of the leaves is a remedy for flatulence and menstrual problems in women. 😍🌱🌳

Supa (Sindora supa)

I still have a few 2 year old Supa (Sindora supa) seedlings that needs to be outplanted.  This is endemic in the Philippines AKA "Kerosene Tree" can grow straight bole up to 30 meters high without buttresses. Each tee said to yield 10 liters of oil. Its wood prized for its durability and pleasant aroma. πŸ’•πŸŒ±πŸŒ³



Conservation Status of Supa is "Vulnerable".



Successfully grown from a batch of seeds couple of years ago.

Magnolia Gabi

Magnolia Gabi are spreading now with some baby plants thru its multiple stolons.   



This certain variety if grown in good condition can grow as high as 6ft with longer stem.



Its leaves, stem, stolon and corm are edible if cooked properly with no acridity and itchiness.



The best for a Filipino dish called "Laing". 🌱🌱🌱



BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM will propagate the young plants that emerged from its stolons. Limited planting materials are also available.

Paratungon (Salacca ramosiana)

Trying to germinate the seeds from the ripe fruit of Paratungon (Salacca ramosiana), it is a species of palm under the family Arecaceae/Palmae. 



It fruits grow in clusters at the base of the tree. The fruits are deep orange colored with prickly and scaly skin. The taste is sour and is potential for wine making. This is reported to be an endemic species in the Philippines while the Salak (Salacca zalacca), commonly referred to as the “snake fruit”, is native to Indonesia. πŸ˜πŸŒ±πŸ’•

Kubili (Cubilia cubili)

Kubili (Cubilia cubili) showing signs of life after 3 weeks in the common pot. These are from a different mother tree from the previous specimen that I outplanted last April 2023. ❤️🌱🌳



These are the batch of seeds of Kubili before germination 3 weeks ago. 



BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM will release extra seedlings if more from these batch will successfully germinated.

Big size Marang (Artocarpus odoratissimus)

Fruiting for the 2nd time of this selected Marang (Artocarpus odoratissimus). 



Extra big fruit that weighs almost 3 kilos. πŸ˜‹



The flesh is in regular size with very soft texture and juicy. 



BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM will propagate the seeds of this specimen for future planting and for rootstock purposes.

Seagrape (Coccoloba uvifera)

One of my Seagrape (Coccoloba uvifera) @ 15mos on the open ground. 



The fruits of the sea grape may be eaten raw, cooked into jellies and jams, or fermented into sea grape wine. The sap has been used for dyeing and tanning leather. The wood has occasionally been used in furniture. 😍🌱🌳



From a couple of feet tall seedling last June of 2022, it is now standing at 6ft.

Popwan (Artocarpus anisophyllus)

Young germinants of Popwan (Artocarpus anisophyllus). New Artocarpus species will be added soon for the future food forest. 😍🌱🌳



Acquired the fruit from Palawan last August 2023, and germinated the seeds immediately after washing and cleaning them thoroughly. 



Popwan fruit has a texture of Banana but taste sweet and with a citrusy flavor. 



BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM will soon release a limited number of seedlings to a selected few who will avail while supplies last.
