Baobab (Adansonia grandidieri)

Lack of water is not a problem for this Baobab (Adansonia grandidieri), it can overcome the driest period by storing water within its fibrous wood of the trunk. This specimen was hibernating for 3 months and coming alive during this drought. 😍🌱🌳

Baobab is endemic to the island of Madagascar where it is an endangered species.

Limited seedlings will be release soon from the nursery of BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.

Devastating effect of El NiΓ±o

Some of my Dipterocarpus species succumbs to the extreme heat. Daily watering and occasional light rain showers aren't enough for them to resist the heat.

Patiently waiting for the hard rain to come, but the weather prediction says that the drought will last until the third week of May.
