My Kamatog And Kamagong ponce

Heavy downpour. My 2yr old Kamatog and Kamagong Ponce can now help to prevent further erosion on their spot. Tough job for both of them.



The raging water from the overflow of the flood from the main river at the back portion.



Almost zero visibility in 100mtrs ahead due to the heavy rain.

Ayanguile (Acasia confusa)

One of my Ayanguile (Acasia confusa), outplanted last April 2022 is pretty fast growing under the full sun. Also known as Philippine Acasia/Philippine wattle, this tree has become very common in many tropical Pacific areas, including Hawaii, where the species is considered invasive.

Elongated Cempedak

On the ground is a variety of Cempedak (Artocarpus integer) that is elongated.



Young fruits hanging from the young mother tree of Bernard Bautista in his farm at Makilala, North Cotabato.



The inner look of its fruit with a brix level of 33.5. Still a lot can be improve from this interesting cultivar.

Melarosa Lemon

Melarosa lemon 😋 I harvested the other 1 last week and today the other 1 was already ripe. Its skin is so aromatic with intense flavor, it can be zested and candied.

Mangostana (Garcinia kydia)

Garcinia kydia is finally on the ground today. Additional Garcinia species on my rare fruit collection.

Red Nato (Palaquium luzoniense)

Red Nato (Palaquium luzoniense) 2 pcs are outplanted today. This is endemic in the Philippines. Conservation status is "VULNERABLE".



Small to medium sized tree up to 25mtrs tall with bole reaching up to 50cm.

Achachairu (Garcinia humilis)

Got a few harvest of ripe Achachairu (Garcinia humilis) in the the farm of Doc Alexis de Manuel at Kidapawan City. 



Achacha, is a small, prolifically fruiting tree related to the mangosteen. It grows in the southern part of the Amazon basin in the central area of Bolivia, but has recently been planted on a commercial scale in Burdekin, Australia.

Interesting variety of Jackfruit

Product of inarching from an interesting variety of jackfruit which produces only a few seeds (1-3 seeds/fruit) from the mother tree of Doc Alexis de Manuel. Currently it has a lower Brix but it can be improve. This variety is excellent as veggie type, glad to have atleast 2 pcs planting materials from Doc Alex.

The interior flesh looks amazing with only a few seeds and more meat.

Suwari/Sawarri Nut (Caryocar nuciferum)

Our friend Steve Cooper trying to break the Suwari/Sawarri Nut (Caryocar nuciferum) to extract the white edible flesh inside for taste test.  The mother tree is growing well at the farm of Doc Alexis de Manuel in Kidapawan City.

As I have observed, the mother tree is constantly flowering whole year round.

Lemonvine (Pereskia aculeata)

New edible on my ground is the Lemonvine (Pereskia aculeata). A scrambling vine that is native to tropical America.



Stunning flowers of Lemonvine!



The leaves and fruits are edible, containing high quantities of protein, iron and other nutrients, and it is a popular vegetable in parts of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The fruit is somewhat resembles the gooseberry in appearance and is of excellent flavor.

Tabon-tabon (Atuna racemosa)

Outplanted additional Tabon-tabon (Atuna racemosa). Very popular in Northern Mindanao used for kinilaw (Raw fish) dish.



The grated flesh of tabon-tabon is used to neutralize the fishy smell of the kinilaw dish and it easily blends with other ingredients.

Makaasim (Syzygium nitidum)

Makaasim (Syzygium nitidum) is a tree that can grow up to 25 metres tall. The bole can be up to 60cm in diameter. The tree is harvested from the wild for its wood. The reddish-brown wood is used for general construction, ship building, furniture, musical instruments, tool handles, telegraph poles and implements.
