Lemon vine (Pereskia aculeata)

Need to rehydrate and acclimatize these Lemonvine/Barbados gooseberry (Pereskia aculeata). This is a scrambling vine growing up to 10m tall in trees. It is native to tropical America. The leaves and fruits are edible, containing high quantities of protein, iron and other nutrients, and it is a popular vegetable in parts of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. 


Stunning flowers of the Lemon vine thay will surely attract various pollinators. 

The fruit taste like a combination of tomato and a lime.

Peanut Butter tree (Bunchosia argentea)

Whole year fruiting of the Peanut Butter tree (Bunchosia argentea). This is native to Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Guyana and Suriname. It produces small orange-red fruits that are sericeous of pleasant taste similar to peanut butter.

Achachairu (Garcinia humilis)

Outplanted additional Achachairu (Garcinia humilis). It grows in the southern part of the Amazon basin in the central area of Bolivia.



A prolific mother tree at the farm of Doc Aexis de Manuel at Kidapawan City. 


Sweet and sour taste of the pulp having atleast a couple of seeds per fruit.

My 2nd Dungon (Heritiera sylvatica) on the ground. Such a slow growing species, this is from the batch that I germinated late 2020 and the first one I had outplanted on Feb.2022. Also known as the "Bullet proof tree".

Alagaw (Premna odorata)

Alagaw (Premna odorata) ripening after a month of waiting. 🐩🕊️Birds are happy feasting on its fruits everyday. You can easily reforest a barren land with this species.


One of the young Alagaw Tree that was planted by birds is now flowering and fruiting continuously. 

Alagaw is a good source of food for humans. A bird magnet and our pollinators also love its flowers. So many reasons why you must have this on your farm.

Malabayabas (Tristaniopsis decorticata)

Overjoyed to have this specimen of Malabayabas (Tristaniopsis decorticata) all the way from Quezon Province thru the efforts and generosity of Forester Eraldwin Dimailig and Doc Lea Aseron-Balaga. Many thanks!


Malabayabas trees in Quezon Province. This species is the 2nd hardest wood in the Philippines.

Mahkota Dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa)

Lots of fruits beginning to ripe now of my God's Crown/Mahkota Dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa). 


Successfully germinated this from seeds last year. This is indigenous to Indonesia and taken as a popular tea. The God’s Crown or Mahkota Dewa is so powerful as it has four crucial chemical substances including Flavonoid, Alkaloid, Saponin and Polyphenol.

Durio graveolens

After a heavy rain, time to outplant additional Durio graveolens. Grown from seed so one can't expect early fruiting of this specimen. The purpose is for diversity and the future fruit is only a bonus. 


The fruit last season which the seedling came from the seeds of these batch.

The first flower of Bulangan/Parrots Beak (Gmelina philippensis) which came out last July is finally a ripe fruit. I will try to germinate these asap.

Kepel (Stelechocarpus burahol)

My lone Kepel (Stelechocarpus burahol), it is native to Indonesia. It will take 8yrs to fruit but glad to add/plant this soon in my rare fruits collection. 

The Kepel tree produces fruits on its trunk.

Kepel fruits are aromatic and have a sweet, fruity, and tropical flavor with papaya, mango, and coconut undertones.
