Mahkota Dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa)

Lots of ripe fruits from our Mahkota Dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa). The pulp can be sundried and stored for use in teas and coffee. Traditionally, P. macrocarpa is exercised to reduce pain, stomachache, diarrhea, tumor problems, blood glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure. This species can thrive upto 1,200masl. It can also produce agarwood but of poor quality. 😍🌱🌳

My son Bovith attracted by the colorful fruits of God's Crown.

Sundried pulp ready for use as tea.

This is grown successfully from couple of seeds I have tried.

Lots of seedlings available for planting at BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.

Pangi or Rowal (Pangium edule)

Huge leaf of my Pangi or Rowal (Pangium edule) also known as Foot ball fruit. It will turn 2 years old this coming April. 😍🌱🌳

Outplanted from barely a foot tall seedling almost 2 years ago.

Yellowish, sweet and aromatic pulp is edible in small quantities.

It produces a large poisonous fruit (the "football fruit" or pangi) which can be made edible by fermentation. Pulp surrounding the seed is eaten in some parts of the Philippines. However, there are reports that it causes headaches.

Langka (Artocarpus heterophyllus)

This jackfruit is already a bonus, because the trees are primarily grown for future lumber purposely planted at close distance of 1 meter apart.

Langka (Artocarpus heterophyllus) is undervalued and underutilized due to a lack of marketing and processing in the Philippines. But it is one of the best and easiest source of food to grow in your food forest. 💕🌱🌳
