Tropical splendor in the landscape. Doña Luz (Mussaenda philippica) is a famous tropical ornamental shrub known for its spectacular, large coral-pink petal-like bracts that surround tiny, star-shaped yellow flowers. Developed as a horticultural hybrid at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), this elegant plant was named in honor of Luz Banzon-Magsaysay, the seventh First Lady of the Philippines. 😍😍
