Young seedlings of Kamuling or Namot
(Microcos triflora var. triflora). This is a small to medium size tree native to the Philippines. Fruit pulp is edible with a good flavor. It is rich in calcium and iron used as a dietary supplements to reduced blood cholesterol, as antispasmodic, and to reduce risk of cancer.
Other uses:
- Bark fibers: Used for rope and tying materials.
- Resin: Used for fuel.
- Pulp: Used for paper production.
