Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica)

Outplanted this Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica), this is from a fresh fruit that was brought home from Japan and the seed is the last one that took so long to germinate from my old common pot. It refuses to give up so why not give it a chance? It is something memorable to me.

Loquat fruit is often use as a sweetener. You can eat the skin but need to remove the seeds as it is poisonous if taken in large quantities.

More fascinating rare fruits at BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.
