Alibangbang (Piliostigma malabaricum)

Alibangbang (Piliostigma malabaricum), grown from seeds last year from the mother tree pic below. As a hedgerow plant, it contributes to soil stabilization and conservation.

Used as a hedge plant in the Philippines. The young leaves have a sour flavour. They are used as a lime-flavoured condiment for soups etc. They can be eaten raw as a side dish with rice. They are cooked in a soup to give a good smell and flavour. 💕🌱🌳

Limited seedlings are available at BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.
