My lone Katii / Philippine Chestnut (Castanopsis). My previous specimen turns out to be a Lithocarpus sp so this time I'm 100% sure as this one came from Datu Ramil.
Fallen nuts of Katii gathered underneath the mother tree.
The Philippine native variety of Chestnut.
The edible nuts can be boiled or roasted for eating.
