A variety of Taro

I believe that this is a variety of Colocasia esculenta where it is much bigger in size and every part of the plant is edible — from its leaves, stem, corm and stolons. The native variety grows wild on swampy areas and it is smaller compare to this.

The best part to harvest is the unexpanded young leaves.

Big leaves used for local dish "La-ing".

More edible collections at BORIS PRIVATE SANCTUM.
