Ripe and ready to harvest Candlestick Fruit (Parmentiera cereifera) at the farm of Steve Cooper in Kidapawan City. This is native to Panama but can be found throughout Central and South America, with its conservation status "Endangered" due to habitat loss.
Couple of years ago I have tried the fruit from this same tree and for me the flavor is a reminiscent of sugarcane. 😋🌱🌳
