A Bit of History

When anthropologist began to study the bones of the men who had died at the St. Stephen Monastery near Jerusalem, they found that the monks had been healthy except for one problem. Most of the monks' kneecap were worn smooth and showed signs of arthritis. The cause? In part, long hours of prayer on cold stone floors.
